Changes or files are not saving
Use this guide when a drawing, estimate or document does not save. First check whether the change reached the project. Seeing it on screen is not confirmation that it was saved. Do not delete data or a project to test whether the problem disappears.
Pause and record what you see
Read the message and check the selected company and project. Note your last action, the time and the expected result. If a form contains unsaved text, keep a safe copy before refreshing. Keep the page open while a file is being added.
Saving needs an internet connection, the right permissions and editing access for both the account and project. Adding documents also needs storage space and a file that meets the limits. Being able to view data does not meet all these conditions.
Check the connection and saved result
- Check whether other websites work. If not, restore the device's internet connection.
- Read the Kaldrix status banner. The app retries a temporarily unavailable connection. This does not automatically mean you have been signed out.
- If the banner remains for several minutes, choose Try now when available.
- After the connection is restored, check whether your change was actually saved. Do not immediately add the wall, item or file again.
- If you need to refresh, first keep a copy of unsaved text. Reopen the correct place and compare the result.
- Only after checking, repeat the missing action once. Wait for saving to finish or for the file to show Done.
Reading and saving data require internet access. Seeing a previously opened plan during a connection break does not prove that new changes were kept. Do not base further work on an unconfirmed result.
When the problem affects a drawing
Kaldrix saves drawing changes automatically. Wait for saving to finish before moving on.
Model changed elsewhere means another person or browser tab changed the plan. Inspect the refreshed view. The model-change dialog may offer Refresh and save changes; read the message before using it. Avoid repeating several changes blindly or overwriting someone else's work.
If the model saved correctly but an estimate quantity stayed unchanged, that does not necessarily indicate a saving failure. You review and update estimate quantities separately by comparing them with the project.
When the problem affects a file
Check the document list, selected disk and category. The file may already have been added even if displaying the result was interrupted. If it was refused, read the reason.
- File too large: prepare a smaller version within the add-files limit. On the Kaldrix disk, an individual file can be up to 25 MB.
- Unsupported type: save the document in a supported format. Renaming its extension alone is not enough.
- No storage space: check usage with the owner. Storage measurements may take time to update.
- File still being prepared: wait for completion, especially for PDF pages and HEIC photos.
Do not delete needed documents as a test. File deletion cannot be undone through a recycle bin.
When the connection is not the cause
Check for Read-only, the estimate state and editing permission. To change an accepted estimate, prepare a new draft copy. The end of a trial can block editing for the whole account. See access problems for these cases.
Exercise and reporting a problem
In a practice project, change a short description, wait for saving and reopen it. Check that the new text remains. Do not deliberately disconnect the internet while working on customer data.
If saving still fails, tell support the area, action, time, message and result of your follow-up check. Crop a screenshot to the problem. Keep passwords, codes and confidential documents out of it. The help assistant explains the steps but cannot confirm saving or repair your data for you.
